This a form of negation which allows the speaker to access the opposite of what they are talking about. It's introduction into the language was highly contentious, with one faction of humanity deciding not to use it.Not much is known about these people as they very swiftly abandonned all speech. Having little to say for themselves, there soon developped a taboo about speaking about them. Some people say that they do not exist, but this position can easily be exposed, as that would involve using the very expression, not, to which they took such an exception.
